Context

Sensorlogic wanted to develop sensing technology around their thermal regulation headcover patent, designed to prevent hypothermia in frigid environments and regulate cranial temperature.  We approach the project by identifying the market needs for “head health” in medical EMS, arctic search and rescue, and sport performance. We designed a smart vitals sensor system along with the headcover and wrist band for winter sport performance. Allowing athletes and coaches monitor vitals during training. The sensor module interchangeably switches between the wristband and headcover while collecting a variety of biometric vitals. The design exploration along with the market research enabled Sensorlogic to further solidify their patent filings and reach sport brands to explore partnership deals.
