Walmart wanted to enter into the gaming market through their private label brand onn. We carefully studied the gaming market and found that there was an underserved demographic shopping at their stores which was interested in gaming, but just beginning to gear up for their gaming setup. We designed and developed a robust mechanical gaming keyboard with a built-in LED lighting feature and a magnetic wrist pad. By stripping away super advanced hot keys, media buttons, and other superfluous features we created an affordable premium keyboard for amateur gaming. This allowed Walmart to retail this keyboard alongside well-known national brands without competing with sales from their valued national brand vendors.
