Context

Zon Products is a startup dedicated to making smart home products easier to setup and use. They wanted to design a small smart speaker that plugged directly into a standard power outlet, which they’d filed a patent for. We did extensive research in the smart home category and quickly learned that voice assistant control was a vital way users controlled their DIY smart home and that voice assistant in every room was critical. We designed and developed a very small smart speaker with built-in Google or Alexa voice assistant. Worked with Amazon and Google to make this product capable of operating with their APIs. This product development wad critical in paving the road to Zon Products offering a line of 20 smart home products compatible with both Google and Alexa voice assistant.
